We are pleased to present a solo exhibition featuring London, England-based artist Alexandra Yan Wong. Materiality underpins Alexandra's work, which arises from her interest in understanding the psychology of perception and aesthetics in the modern world. With a background in German literature and philosophy, her contemplative approach explores an interplay between the external and internal worlds. Drawing from memory and feelings, she employs a diverse array of materials to craft intricate shapes and textures. Their spatial arrangement, concealment and destruction highlight their tactility and the work’s narrative form. Her highly tactile work exhibits a cross-cultural influence, bringing to mind Eastern aesthetics and calligraphy. This is an opportunity to see Alexandra’s work in Japan for the first time.

In support of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, a portion of the sales during the exhibition will be donated.
The recipient of the donation will be chosen according to the situation and will be informed at a later date.
